Hi there, 1st congratulations for this amazing work,
2nd, I need help, I’ve a RME fireface 400 connect to a PCI express Firewire Card with Texas instruments chipset.. I need to know if I have any chance to get it work on Ubuntu… drivers for Firewire Card? then drivers for RME interface?
Thanks
Regards
Ricardo Fernandes
Hi. Texas Instruments is often recommended, but as far as if your device is supported, I’d have a loot at http://ffado.org. ffado are the firewire drivers used on Linux for firewire audio devices. Read more about this at http://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuStudio/ProAudioIntro
..and the PCI card should just work. It’s that common of a device. Those drivers are usually included in the kernel, together with graphic drivers, and wifi drivers.
